Roz Zollinger
Founder
Instructor
Over 36 years Roz has developed an international reputation for her instruction and therapeutic work in fields of Reflexology and Aromatherapy. She qualified in Reflexology in 1983 through the South African Institute of Reflexology in Johannesburg, and in 1984 trained in Aromatherapy with the Institute of Clinical Aromatherapy in London. Subsequently, Roz pursued advanced Aromatherapy studies with the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy, completed the International Training Program in Essential Oils at Purdue University, courses in Aromatic Medicine with Mark Webb, Gabriel Mojay, Madeleine Kerkhof, and many others.
Roz is co-founder of the Georgia Reflexology Organization and is a regional director for the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA).
Roz Zollinger founded the BodySystems Method™ of Reflexology, a unique approach whereby the practitioner works systematically through the major systems of the body via the feet/hands. The premise of reflexology is that all parts of the body are connected to the feet via energy zones or pathways (Similar, but not the same as the acupuncture meridians) By using a series of compression, the body’s innate energy is supported and the nerve system. Over 30 years ago, Roz created her concept of Aromatic Reflexology, incorporating the use of her therapeutic essential oil synergies/blends for each body system with her work on the feet.
The Heal Center’s Aromatherapy Practitioner Course is a 50 in-class hour course providing you a deep understanding of the key elements and practices of aromatherapy. You will build a strong foundation of knowledge and experience in safe therapeutic applications and blending of over 40 essential oils.
Step beyond essential oil enthusiast into the vast world of aromatherapy, aromatic medicine, and its many applications.
Now in our 32nd year, our focus remains strongly on providing in-class & hybrid training courses, the emphasis on hands-on learning, student-teacher interactions, group discussion and Q&A. Classes are lively and supportive, cultivating your working knowledge and confidence.
Your journey in learning aromatherapy, and the experience as a whole, is made stronger by learning alongside your peers. We believe this is an invaluable asset of in-person learning. Observing our students realize and experience profound healing with essential oils, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, is our greatest reward!
We hold our students to a high standard, whatever your ambition, to ensure your blending, products, and application of essential oils are both effective and crafted with safety in mind.
This well-established course provides you the clinical knowledge with safe practices, an understanding of the important body-mind connections, and importantly, giving you space to explore and develop your sense of intuition in working with essential oils.
In combination with lessons on anatomy, physiology, wellness-disease, and pathologies, this course has been designed and refined over the past three decades resulting in a very thorough and effective approach to learning Aromatherapy.

Attendance
We understand life is busy. Missing more than 3 classes is not advised. Students should make every effort to make-up any lessons missed, whether from another student or scheduled 0ne-on-one time with an instructor. Make-up lessons may be arranged with an instructor at an additional hourly cost of $40/hr. Typically, material from a missed class can be covered within 1-hour, one-on-one. Missing more than 9-hours of the class may result in delayed testing and course completion.
Expectations
Study and practice outside of class are necessary and expected (your family and friends will be very grateful!). Gaining proficiency in any art and skill comes with consistent practice. Plan on reserving a few hours per week for study and practice.
Certificate
Upon successful completion, you will receive your Certificate of Completion. This certifies that you have successfully completed the Heal Center’s comprehensive Aromatherapy Foundations course.
Lesson Structure and Approach
This course is designed to present ‘digestible’ lessons, with time for questions and discussion, and supervised hands-on practice.
Each weekly 3-hour class will cover a specific body system and associated topics. Typically, class begins with the study of the body system, its anatomy and physiology, and associated pathologies, including physical, emotional, spiritual concerns, and mind-body connections.
Our program provides you the necessary time in between classes to absorb information learned, to study, and to practice your blending and applications at home with the information from each lesson.
In providing this program since 1992 we find this lesson structure brings students the greatest success in class while balancing commitments, work and family.
As a guide and mentor, we are with you through your journey into Aromatherapy!
