Integrated Restoration Techniques for studies in physical medicine.
Structural Alignment for Treatment and Pain Relief
In this workshop we will be Assessing, Balancing and Correcting the CERVICAL SPINE, the SACRUM, and the CRANIAL VAULT. This is more than a Cranial/Sacral class. The class will be utilizing a combination of Muscle Energy, Joint Mobilization and Myofascial release. You’ll learn how to assess and apply specific corrective techniques for both the Sacrum and Cervical spine. You’ll also learn cranial vault mobilization techniques that help normalize the tone of the intracranial fascia. By correcting mal-alignments we can begin to help alleviate a variety of complaints, such as headaches, TMJ dysfunction, visual, audial, low back, shoulder and neck pain issues.
This class is laid out step by step. It’s easy to learn. It’s too easy not to do.

Ira Wikel
Integrated Restoration Techniques {IRT} is the brainchild of Ira Wikel, LMT. A massage therapist since 1982, Ira had been looking for techniques that would produce excellent results without taxing his body. After several hundred hours of continuing education, he put together this “greatest hits” package based on the therapeutic options that work for him. He continues to use them in his practice today and looks forward to teaching more massage therapists these methods.
Pat Barnes
Pat Barnes is a licensed massage therapist who graduated from ASHA School of Massage and then joined the staff there teaching with Ira Wikel. Pat has also taught Sports Therapy and Myofascial Release for Gwinnett College, Sandy Springs. Pat uses the principles of IRT in his daily practice. The addition of a second instructor in the IRT series ensures that each student will get the most of their hands-on instruction.
