Advanced Reflexology Course
10 day (5 weekend) in-class Certification leading to National ARCB Certification
with Roz Zollinger
& Dr. Rudy Scarfalloto
The Heal Center’s Advanced Reflexology Course is for those who are committed to furthering their professional training in Reflexology. The course is in compliance with the standards of the American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB). This outstanding comprehensive program will run one full weekend per month, for five months.
The American Reflexology Certification Board’s national educational standard for Reflexology is 200 hours. This is made up of 110 class hours and 90 documented client sessions. Once the required number of class hours have been completed, students may register with the ARCB in order to receive the ARCB Study Guide and to schedule a testing date.
The prerequisite for this course is the Heal Center’s 14-week Reflexology Certification Course, which consists of 50 class hours. Together with a further 60 class hours provided by the Advanced Reflexology Course, as well as 10 hours of supervised clinic sessions, Heal Center graduates complete a total of 110 class hours – therefore meeting the ARCB requirement.
Massage therapists will receive 48 CE hours via NCBTMB #451383-10. Please check your state regulation pertaining to what CE’s are accepted as they are currently changing and evolving.
* Modules I – IV finish up with a test review for the following weekend.

Q & A
Q. Why would I take this advanced reflexology class?
A. To bring you into a more professional level of understanding of the body, legs and feet. As a therapist, you will develop the skill to communicate with other professionals in the field.
To quote to American Reflexology Certification Board: A.R.B.C.:
“WHY NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION?
Today, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies are one of the fastest growing areas of healthcare worldwide. As a result, qualified Reflexologists with the highest credentials are being sought by the public and the health care industry. In order to promote reflexology through testing and recognition of competent professional practitioners, ARCB was founded in 1991. ARCB is a non-profit certifying agency which exists to protect the public and promote reflexology through certification of those Reflexologists who practice on a professional basis and choose to be certified as meeting basic national standards. ARCB is the only certifying agency recognized by the Reflexology Association of America. We are not affiliated with any school and do not endorse any specific reflexology training curriculum. Our study materials and test have been approved by several state and local government agencies as a basis for licensing Reflexologists. ARCB exams are based on psychometrically valid models reviewed by industry experts. Achieving and maintaining national certification from ARCB provides the public and your employer or affiliates with the assurance that you have achieved the highest level of certification available in the United States today and that you abide by a code of ethics and business practices recognized nationally by many law enforcement and government agencies. By achieving certification you are also eligible to receive client referrals through ARCB.”
Q. Why would I want to become nationally certified?
A. National Certification gives you a more professional status. Once you are nationally certified you would be on their registry and would possibly receive referrals from local clients.
Q. Is there licensing for Reflexology in Georgia?
A. Not yet, however if we should become licensed here we would need to be nationally certified and have proof of the 200 hours of training.
Q. I understand that this advanced reflexology course consists of five weekends. What is the next step after I have completed this?
A. Once you have completed all five weekends you would apply to the A.R.C.B. (www.arcb.net) to take their test. The cost of the test is $295 and thereafter there is a $55 fee per year for renewals. You will send the transcript form to the Heal Center and send in your application to the ARCB. We will fill in the transcript form which includes grades and skill level.
Q. What can I expect regarding the testing and it’s procedure?
A. After your application has been accepted, you will receive a package from them which includes a study guide, suggested reading list as well as their documentation for your client case studies. At that point, you may begin your case studies which includes working on 30 clients, three times = 90 documented client sessions.
Thus, your training will include:
Foundation Reflexology Certification Course: 50 hours
Advanced Reflexology Course: 5 weekends: 60 hours
90 Documented client sessions: 90 hours
Total Hours of training: 200 hours
The ARCB sends a proctor to test once a year for a minimum of 8 students.
Date for testing in Atlanta for 2017: July 15, 2017
You can, however, also take the test in another state if need be.
