Modern Cupping Through a Thai Lens
Cupping is one of the oldest healing practices in the world—and it continues to evolve today.
In this hands-on workshop, we will explore broad possibilities with modern cupping applications using silicone cups.
Unlike any other technique, cupping expands and separates tissue, creating literal space in which healing occurs. Learn how and where to place the cups, gliding the cups, and move the body with cups applied to release restrictions, enhance mobility, and relieve stagnation, tension, and more.
Central to this course is the concept of working through the 5 layers of the body: the skin; muscles, ligaments, and tendons; nerves; blood vessels; and bones.
By viewing the body through a Thai lens, you will gain a unique and deeper understanding of its organization and develop more targeted, personalized treatment strategies.
Cupping offers exceptional efficiency in bodywork—allowing you to reduce strain on your own body while delivering more powerful results for your clients.
This class will use massage tables and it is accessible for all practitioners. No prior Cupping or Thai style or passive stretching experience is necessary.
Cups are provided for use in class and new sets are available for purchase from the instructor after class.
